Collaborative Website Copy: An exclusive service for website designers and their clients
Get your clients’ copy website-ready without the investment of a full done-for-you project
Hello, you wonderful design wizard, you!
You and I both know that getting solid copy from your website clients who are DIYing can be…a struggle.
You either wind up scrambling to collect their copy at the last minute, have to sift through borderline unworkable text, or make on-the-fly edits yourself.
My collaborative website copy service is here to stop that chaos
It’s perfect for when clients aren’t ready to invest in full, done-for-you website copy, but still need professional support. They recognize the importance of website messaging, and also aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and right an imperfect first draft (with guidance, of course).
Allow me to keep your client on track (so you don’t have to). I’ll take some of the pressure off them by providing pre-writing structure and post-writing edits.
How it works
Step 1: Mini questionnaire & strategy call
To clarify their messaging, get a sense of their voice, and determine their website structure (if you haven't already done so).
Step 2: Website copy plan
Custom template with copy prompts to guide their first draft, plus a checklist of website copy essentials. This is KEY for getting clients out of their head with their draft, and making sure the structure of their copy actually works with website design.
Step 3: Website copy refinements
Once they've fleshed out the template, I'll provide up to 1 hour of edits/rewriting per page. I’ll pay attention to clarity, emotional impact, conciseness, order of information, voice, and making sure it doesn’t blatantly sound like AI. If more editing is needed, that can be done at $110 CAD/hour.
Step 4: Wrap-up call/video
To cover any lingering questions or make final tweaks.
Investment
$800 CAD + sales tax (if you’re in Canada) for Home, About, Services, and Contact (or simliar).
I’ll provide a custom quote if your client needs a larger or smaller website.
Book me for whitelabel support or refer your clients directly
Build me into your proposals or connect me with your clients so I can handle all that. I’m happy to work either way!
Feel free to use this in your pitch to clients:
“This service is a great way to get professional support on your website messaging for a much lower investment than fully done-for-you website copy. It also means I can put all my focus on your design strategy and development.
Your copywriter, Natalie, will give you pre-writing guidance to help you flesh out an imperfect first draft. You’ll get a custom template so you know what to write and where — so your copy supports design and your website strategy. Then, she’ll work with you to edit/rewrite your draft by focusing on clarity, emotional impact, conciseness, order of information, voice, and making sure it doesn’t sound like AI. The package includes up 1 hour of edits per page, but you can always add on more, if needed.”
Have a client who’s a better fit for the custom website copy treatment instead? Awesome! I offer that as whitelabel service too.
Let’s talk timelines
I highly recommend booking collaborative website copy at the same time your client books your design services. As a rule of thumb, I’d suggest initiating this at least 4 weeks before you need the copy. That way, we can make sure I’m able to meet your deadline, and your client has time to write their first draft.
Of course, sometimes the cookie doesn’t crumble that way. Occasionally, clients realize late in the game that they need copy support.
As soon as you can, ask me if I can meet your deadline and we’ll do our best to make it work. This service requires far less lead time than my full done-for-you projects, so there’s a good chance I’ll be able to fit you in. Keep in mind, we’ll still need to give your clients time to write their imperfect first draft and incorporate my feedback.
Sound useful? Sick! Let’s talk.

Who am I again?
I’m a website copywriter and brand messaging strategist based in Kelowna, BC. Since 2020, I’ve helped service providers, health and wellness experts, and consultants make a name for their nuance.
I believe your website copy should be both a strategic tool and an authentic brand representative that you feel excited sending visitors to. That's why my process combines user experience, voice of customer research, SEO, and brand voice discovery. With every project, my goal is to create website copy that moves your people (their hearts and their cursors).
